This is a popular place for sea swimming year round. Depending on the tide, waves and wind, you have the choice of the more sheltered beach side with its pier and steps and slipway for easy access and exit from the water and a freshwater shower, or the more rocky and deep Forty Foot side looking out to Dublin Bay.
