The continuation of the Henne boulevard between Hennedamm and the landing stage is conceived as a natural path whose course follows the existing topography and fits into the existing tree population on the northern shore. The new route connection along the edge of the bank allows for the first time the two main visitor points Dammkrone and Schiffsanleger to be reached by the shortest route. The long detour via the visitor parking spaces above the Hennesee is eliminated. The addition of the hen boulevard at this point represents an important gap in the existing infrastructure in Hennesee.
The entire section is designed barrier-free via ramps and therefore equally usable for people with disabilities. The new lighting with bollard lights and the flat asphalt surfaces, the way can be used safely in the dark. Above the demolition edge of a former quarry, a balcony protruding approximately 3.50 meters allows spectacular impressions to float freely above the water surface. Much of the constructive elements of the balcony also uses the rustic steel look of the Himmelstreppe, resulting in a coordinated overall appearance.
The demolition edge of the quarry is illuminated at night by floodlights, which are attached to the viewing balcony. In combination with the lighting of the new path, the northern shoreline is thus put into perspective, especially at night.
A second balcony, which was created as a rock pile, is located further west in the area of the ship landing stage. From here there are attractive views between Hennedamm, Berghauser bay and the opposite shore.
