I can only recommend NOT to take the wide, developed path through the Kalte Tal, but rather the narrow, rooty path that leads directly along the course of the stream. It can be muddy and slippery at times, so you should wear sturdy shoes (and not "hiking flip-flops"), but the path is much nicer than the boring path a few meters away.
