Fabulous panoramic view! In addition to the Canossa pillar are still remaining walls of the castle. The guest and Logierhaus panoramic views can also be found here. Even the Harzer hiking nobility has the stamp office 121 here.

The castle hill offers a great view over Bad Harzburg, a restaurant, stamp office, castle ruins, Harzer-Sagen-Halle and a Bismarck monument.

The "stumbling block" is a worthwhile goal. In addition, here is the HWN stamp office 121

At the moment there are several ways up there blocked for construction workarbeiten
The castle hill would be accessible via the Kaiserweg.

The views are nice, I found the ruins themselves less interesting than some others in the area.

If you don't feel like climbing the castle hill on your own two feet, you can take the cable car. Information on travel times and prices can be found at: bad-harzburg.de/wanderland/burgberg-seilbahn. At the Burgberg you can also find the treetop path (bad-harzburg.de/familie-freizeit/baumwipfelpfad-harz).

On the plateau of the Großer Burgberg are the ruins of the Harzburg castle, the Canossa column (482.8 m above sea level) and the Harz saga hall with the Harz saga shrine, which uses an ensemble of 125 filigree marble sculptures and pictures to present a selection of well-known Harz sagas.
Furthermore, there is the stamp 121 of the Harzer hiking pin - "Aussichtsreich Burgberg"

Great view and the Harzburg is nice to visit anyway. And the cable car saves the ascent.
