The mass heap that remains today is located directly on the city limits between Dortmund and Unna, is about 10 meters high above the surrounding area and reaches a maximum height of 89 meters above sea level. This means that it is hardly recognizable as a tailings dump for laypeople and can easily be taken for a naturally occurring elevation. All around, the stockpile is overgrown with masses of dense bushes and trees. The large, round meadow area in the middle of the heap, which is framed by a ring-shaped path, is particularly characteristic. There are a few trees here and there. Wooden benches can be found here and there.

The heap of masses is not that high... actually just a little hill :)
