The enchanting medieval village boasts another characteristic, that of being considered the 'City of Hospitality' par excellence thanks to the tradition of the Twelve Ringed Column. Each ring corresponds to one of the twelve families once appointed to host the stranger who, upon arriving, tied his horse there. The tradition is still commemorated on the first Sunday of September.
