The church is absolutely worth visiting. After the renovation it is truly a gem!

If you want, you can eat at the Trebbo restaurant for a small shopping at 200 MT from the church

Parish Church of San Donato di Polenta

The construction of the parish church dates back to the eighth century, by the Lombards.
        ...
The Pieve has undergone several restorations, the most famous being the one promoted in 1897 by Giosuè Carducci, who on that occasion wrote the Ode to the Church of Polenta in which he suggests that Dante Alighieri prayed in this pieve during his exile and that it was hosted right here by the Polentani lords of Ravenna, while Francesca tempered "her burning eyes with rice".

Its churchyard is also interesting, where a herm dedicated to Giosuè Carducci stands out - inaugurated in 1932 twenty-five years after the poet's death - and the coats of arms of the municipalities that participated in the traditional Carducciano Raduno, an event held annually together with cycles of Dantesque readings.
