Anyone with a dog is now not welcome in the area. According to an older sign, you can go in with a dog on a leash, but then there is the newer sign about the livestock guardian dogs, and it says that for your own safety and that of your animal, you should not take PETS into the fenced area. Unfortunately, it is also not noted when the livestock guardian dogs are on holiday and - like the sheep - are NOT in the huge area. Since the Hünenweg is a long-distance hiking trail and also runs through the fenced area, I find it pretty pathetic. For one thing, pastures for sheep are actually always fenced off with a plug-in fence, and for another, good livestock guardian dogs don't like strangers either.
