The entire route from the Schwand lift to the Gehrenspitze runs through the forest.
Only at the Riezler Alp do you have a clear view of the valley!
The more comfortable part of it goes from the valley to the Ritzler Alp. Further up, to the Gehrenspitze, the path then runs steeper and over roots.
