The Landegge moated castle was built around 1178. Today only a remnant is left: the castle hill with the building and bell tower. Once upon a time, the Knights of Langen were the castle men.

Landegge Castle was founded in 1178 jointly by the diocese of Münster and the Corvey monastery. All that remains of the castle is the chapel, which stands on the 2-3 m high and approx. 38 × 25 m large moth hill. The current building dates from 1960 and is a reconstruction of a half-timbered church from 1686. A first chapel is said to have been built around 1200.
