The Hilter lock has two lock chambers that are next to each other. The old lock chamber was put into operation in 1899, the new lock chamber in 1956. The lock was renovated between 2013 and 2015 and is now state-of-the-art.For anyone who isn't so interested in the lock itself, I recommend the restaurant right next door. They serve delicious food and refreshing drinks.
