Valsgaard Viking Age Farmstead

The Viking-era court complex Valsgaard at Wallsbüll was built by the non-profit association Vaalsgard e.V. and is intended to reflect the settlement and construction history of the Vikings around 700 - 1100 AD. The construction of the court was done voluntarily by friends and members of the association, led by professional craftsmen. For more information, please visit: valsgaard.de

We were there for the Nordmarsch event. Great location and lots of great people.

If you visit on the weekend, you have a good chance to chat with the "residents" and learn some interesting facts about the Viking era. On the second-to-last weekend in August, the Battle of Wallsbüll takes place next door. A Viking market with many activities centered around Viking life is held.
