The bust of Queen Luise made of Wunsiedler marble is placed on a base made of blue Kösseine granite. The stone work was carried out by the stone sculptor Wolfgang Stefan from Selb-Vielitz, financed by various sponsors and the municipality of Bad Alexandersbad.
The Fichtelgebirge passed to the Prussian crown in 1791, and from June 13, 1805 to July 5, 1805, King Friedrich Wilhelm III. and Queen Luise in Alexandersbad. During this stay, the Luxburg was also renamed Luisenburg. The nobles lived in the margrave's palace in Alexandersbad. As part of the 200-year celebrations, the Queen Luise Path was created and on June 12, 2005 the bust of Luise was inaugurated.
