The parish church of St. Marien dates from the 14th century, the south chapel (early Gothic) probably dates from the 13th century. The tower was demolished in 1725 up to the ridge height of the nave. From 1877 to 1878 the church was extensively restored by Georg Daniel. In addition, a choir yoke was added to the east side. In the west, a new tower protruding over the roof was built in place of the preserved tower substructure with a bell storey.
