Elper Hirtenweide is a former grazing area on the Wolkenberg / Braberg ridge between Elpe and Wulmeringhausen. In the past, livestock was raised here, and sporting events were also practiced here. Today, large parts are wooded or planted with Christmas trees, in a meadow invite a bench and a table for a small break.

On the shepherd's meadow at an altitude of over 600 meters there is little, no water, but a fine seating area with a table.
Fortunately, the meadow is of historical importance and not a designated NSG.
(Without worry: a scout leaves nothing but his thanks!)
In the past, the "one-cow farmers" drove their cows as well as the shepherds to graze their animals up here.
In 1928/29, some villages played their soccer games against each other on the meadow, which barely has a horizontal square meter.
