Built in the 1866, Hodbarrow Old Lighthouse (or Hodbarrow Beacon) is one of the last surviving structures of the Hodbarrow Mine, which once shipped iron ore as far as Germany. It was decommissioned in 1905 and replaced by the cast iron Hodbarrow Lighthouse.
