This walk starts of between Grasmere and Rydal Water, then takes a higher line to along Rydal Water, which provides excellent views of the lake, to Rydal Cave. Then drops down to the lake shore and the return to the car park.

A wonder around the South Walney Nature Reserve. Right on the tip of the island it is a great place for the sea air, wildfowl and views.

Cowan Bridge was the Clergy Daughters' School attended by Charlotte and Emily Bronte. This walk many follows the Leck Beck a tributary of the River Lune with a return through the village of Leck.
