Clock Tower, Solothurn
The oldest building in the city was built at the beginning of the 13th century. The bell striker in the helmet lantern hits the bell with a big hammer. Below the large tower clock, you can see the copper-clad canopy. The group of automatons, consisting of a knight, a king, and death, is surrounded above by a blue starry sky with a moon, and below by the Solothurn coat of arms with the imperial eagle and the dates 1545 (built) and 1883 (renovated).
