Building of the former Hoßfeld printing works. The property was expanded in 1924 with an extension beyond the Hessian state border to Thuringia, so the border went right through the building. The front door was also moved to the east. In order to forestall the Soviets' access during the division of Germany after 1945, the Hossfelds decided to separate the eastern part of the building. On New Year's Eve 1951/52 they cleared the eastern part, bricked up the connecting door and moved their front door to the west. Thus they were subordinate to the American troops. Only in 1976 was there a border regulation and the Hossfelds were allowed to use their annex again.
