Directly behind the village church in the former estate park is the grave of the teacher, statesman and agricultural scientist Albrecht Daniel Thaer (1752-1828). Unfortunately, the spot is neither visible nor signposted from Rosenwinkel Street. The tombstone of A. D. Thaer's son is no longer in the grave site, outside the wrought-iron fence lies the grave of Thaer's daughter Wilhelmine.
