A Romanesque fortified church which is still surrounded by a fortified wall. Of the interior decoration, the fresco cycle from around 1310 is particularly noteworthy. On December 4, 1994, the parish church of St. Nicholas was reconsecrated in a festive act after three years of general renovation.

In the course of the renovation, an extensive archaeological excavation was carried out inside the church. This revealed 44 graves with a total of 71 skeletons. Based on the combination of age at death and chronological assignment of the costume components, it was possible to identify two priests. Seven naturally mummified individuals were recovered in the "crypt". After thorough anthropological examination, the mummies have found their last resting place at the place where they were found. According to the remains of the coffin, the dead can be assigned to the 18th century. The archaeological finds are shown on a display board.
