Around Lago di Braies is this curious sector with an infinity of rock pyramids assembled by visitors as they pass. It can go unnoticed but you will find it if you go around the lake, right on the opposite vertex of the pier

For some, building another small cairn - also called a stone man or stone pyramid - is a kind of patience game or pastime, others may even set their ambition on building the tallest of this kind. Whatever the motive: such stone works of art can be found every now and then - primarily in the mountains, such as on this section on the southern shore of Lake Braies, but now also, for example, on rocky coastal sections of the Mediterranean.
