The Schwanenteich is a beautiful, shallow, clear and quiet pond with a fountain that connects Küchensee and Ratzeburger See. The associated connecting channel is just as beautiful and at its end you will land directly in front of the most delicious fish restaurant north of the equator, which unfortunately is often overcrowded in summer.

On the occasion of the 950th anniversary of the city of Ratzeburg, on April 27, 2012, the newly installed water fountain in the Swan Pond was put into operation. With this measure, the city meets the wishes of many citizens. Already in the 70s, a donated fountain bubbled up here, which disappeared from the scene for unknown reasons.

The fountain reaches a height of five meters and is illuminated in the colors orange and white in the evenings.
