The cellars of Salorino are grouped in a single area at the entrance to the town. The result of a homogeneous project, they probably arose around the mid-nineteenth century, coinciding with the construction of the second road that climbs towards Monte Generoso.
Almost all the cellars are comparable in their characteristics with the central entrance door equipped with an air intake window and are particularly cool: they maintain 8-9 degrees in summer and 10-11 in winter.
