At night, the monument unfolds its impressive appearance.

"In front of the pain clinic in Kiel at the mouth of the Schwentine stands the large steel sculpture of the mouth of ideas by Jörg Plickat. It honors the merits of Hermann Anschütz-Kaempfe (* 1879, † 1931) and Albert Einstein (*1879, † 1955), who here with the "Development of the circular compass revolutionized navigation and shipping. Hermann Anschütz-Kaempfe built a development building and a production plant on the site of today's pain clinic. He was close friends with the later Nobel Prize winner Albert Einstein, and the physicist was involved in the development and improvement of the compass The monument was inaugurated in July 2022 to mark the 100th anniversary of the patent being granted in 1922.
