  • Place du Canada is located in the central district of Ville-Marie between Boulevard René-Lévesque, Rue de la Cathédrale, Rue de La Gauchetière and Rue Peel. Opened in 1872, the square is designed as an urban park. Northwest of the boulevard is Square Dorchester. Both squares bore the same name, Square Dominion, until 1967
