Hiking

Freiburg and Innsbruck share a long history. Because as early as 1368, the city of Freiburg became part of the Habsburg front of Austria - with Innsbruck as the provincial capital. Around two hundred years later, Freiburg became the capital of Western Austria; The seat of the Austrian government presidents was the Basler Hof, in the middle of today's pedestrian zone, the Kajo. This epoch did not end until 1805 in the wake of the Napoleonic Wars and the subsequent reorganization of Europe.
