Annaberg built two gate pillars (Bohemian Gate and Wolkensteiner Gate), both from 1727, three years later. This is a bit unusual, because the gate pillars usually date from the early years, then they haggled as hard as they could and August negotiated down to a single market pillar, and Annaberg could have done that too, they probably had enough money. The two columns also have a special feature: they only taper on the sides without inscriptions, the sides with the distance information are vertical. This won't happen again. The gates were demolished in 1833, and the columns were probably demolished too. They were only found in the 1970s and re-erected in 1979 and 1980 respectively.
