In June 1988, seven children from different countries of the world were gathered at the North Cape. They stayed here for a week and together they created the Children of the Earth monument, a symbol of community, friendship, hope and joy that can be visited here.

The Children of the World Monument is located southeast of the North Cape Hall and consists of seven large circular reliefs arranged in a semicircle. Opposite them is a sculptural group of mother and child, consisting of a female figure and a small boy who points to the reliefs with his left arm. The group was created by Eva Rybakken.
