The church ruin Retzow stands in the middle of the cemetery, which was once surrounded by a field stone wall. In the war between Mecklenburg on the one hand and Brandenburg and Pomerania on the other, which led to the conquest of Lychen in 1440, Retzow was destroyed along with the church. The Retzow church was built as a rectangular stone building without a tower in the 2nd half of the 13th century. The church has a bevelled pedestal. A portal led from the west, two from the south to the church. The sacristy on the eastern part of the north side was connected to the church by a small door. The door vestments are all but torn down to small parts, the window walls, however, are largely preserved, especially the pointed arched east window. The hole for the locking bar of the west door is still clearly visible. The belfry used to stand near the current parking lot. He was transferred to the cemetery in 1966 and renewed.
