The building dedicated to St. Eucharius - according to tradition the first bishop of Trier in the 3rd century - is one of the oldest churches in Metz. Its origins go back to the 5th century, it received its architectural character between the 12th and 15th centuries, in the transition from Romanesque to early Gothic.
