The famous Humanist Library of Sélestat is located in a former granary. The approximately 36-meter-long reading room houses some 3,000 written documents from the 7th to the 16th centuries, manuscripts, incunabula and early prints. Precious pieces such as a commented bible from the 7th century can be seen in display cases.
