The Isteiner Schillen are more than 1 km long. You can swim in many places along the Altrhein 🏊♀️. Really nice. Unfortunately we couldn't try it ourselves, the weather didn't invite us to do so. There is also a car park very close by.

The Isteiner Schwellen are rapids in the Upper Rhine at Rhine kilometer 177 near the southern Baden town of Istein, which belong to the municipality of Efringen-Kirchen. They lie parallel to the Rhine side canal (Grand Canal d'Alsace) built in 1928.
