Funtensee

Cold, colder, the coldest: In winter, the Funtensee repeatedly turns up as the coldest place in Germany. It's not that fresh here in summer: if you dare, jump into the water. On the shore opposite the Kärlingerhaus there is even a small beach with a "sunbathing area". The water is cold and prickles like a thousand little needles on the skin. After the strenuous ascent, however, you can really use it.

Beautiful area, cozy evenings in the house, friendly hospitality, have comfortable beds and a good breakfast

We come up here once a year.
