This beautiful valley is very wide and panoramic. It is crossed by a stream and is the ideal starting point for easy walks or the perfect destination for a picnic in the open air.

Beautiful valley with a path that is a highway. It can be traveled downhill from the summit of Enciastraia.

Leaving from Larche, it's a fairly simple hike that takes 2 hours.
On the other hand, from the Col de la Bonnette (Alpes-Maritimes) it is much more sporty. At the forks camp, head towards the pass of the same name then descend into the Salsomoreno valley. Head towards Pas de la Cavale to descend to the lake behind the cross then Lake Lauzanier.
It is possible to spend the night there but you will have to respect the rules of the Mercantour National Park. If the weather is threatening, you can take refuge in the chapel of a thousand stars. I advise you to open the door even if the weather is good because it is nicely decorated inside. The more curious will find a better equipped and much more comfortable bivouac to spend the night warm and safe.
