Knowth took nearly 40 years from the date of discovery to full restoration. Compared to Newgrange, Knowth is much larger, there are also many small burial mounds here. But you can't go inside here, only up the main hill. From there you can see across to Newgrange.

Knowth (Irish: Cnobha), part of the Brú-na-Bóinne complex, is a large collection of ancient megalithic structures. It consists of the main mound and some 20 smaller satellite sites located approximately 1.0 km north-west of Newgrange and 2.0 km west of Dowth. The main mound is larger than almost any megalithic site in Ireland.

This facility is much larger in terms of the scope of the exhibition and also more informative than Newgrange. The tour is tightly organized, but you also have time for yourself.
