This long route takes you with the ponds of Wijvenheide and the Platwijers through the heart of De Wijers. You literally walk on the dikes of dozens of ponds. You may even hear the rare bittern calling. Be sure to stop at one of the bird watching huts and information walls, where you can get to know the birds of De Wijers in a playful way. Or climb the lookout tower and discover De Wijers from a bird's eye view.
