Nørup Church

Nørup Church is a church in the village of Nørup about 15 km west of Vejle.The church is situated on a high hill, from where there is a beautiful view of Engelsholm Lake and Engelsholm Castle.The church, built in the 13th century, consists of a Romanesque nave and chancel and a late Gothic tower. On the north side there is a chapel from 1621.The church bears the sign of belonging to the Engelsholm estate, especially after a major renovation in 1732-33 by Gerhard de Lichtenberg. The upper part of the tower was also rebuilt in 1732 with an onion dome, which has the same shape as the onion domes at Engelsholm Castle.The church is situated on a hill, from where there is a beautiful view of Engelsholm Lake and Engelsholm Castle.
