The "Alte Vikarie" built in 1515 is a historic half-timbered house with the high quarry stone base and the half-timbered structure on the two upper floors, the bay window, which extends to the gable top in the middle of the facade, and the octagonal stair tower on the side.
The "Alte Vikarie" has been owned by the Diocese of Limburg since 1903, which used it as a residential and office building.
The diocese has since moved away from the original name of the entire property. Instead, the building ensemble to which the "Alte Vikarie" belongs is now called "Bischofshaus".
