    Blackstone Edge is a climb up from Littleborough with the Blackstone Reservoir at the top.

    It is 2.5 miles long with an average gradient of 6% and max of 10%. Its an A road but its popularity with cyclists means there is even a dedicated cycle path.

    This is a very satisfying climb taking you to the highest road around for miles. Once you reach the top, you have a choice of two exquisite descents: one down Cragg Vale (8kms of down), one down to Ripponden with lovely views of Baitings Reservoir and dam.
