Getting to Gawsworth
Lovely loop around the Cheshire lanes, with the grand plan to have tea and many buns at the splendid Gawsworth Hall.
The bike, however developed a really, really annoying creak. Fearing the worst, I chose to nurse it back, just in case.

UHL Bike Aintree 2025
The first Iconic event on behalf of University Hospital Liverpool. Also the last local sportive of the year.
Opted for the medium 55 mile route, which was enough for me.
Mostly flat, but with really half decent road surfaces for a change.
