Two local artists, Robbe Pinsart and Wouter Fimmers, gave shape to this place, each with a unique creation. The symbolic sculpture by Robbe Pinsart was given a fitting name: “TroosT” has the stylized shape of a rose and is surrounded by hundreds of stones with the names of the people who are commemorated. The poem by Wouter Fimmers was also created especially for this place. It is strikingly beautiful and goes deeper with every rereading. An iron text engraved in a giant plate, for eternity.

Hiking

This place is called 'De Kruislinde'. The place, traditionally known by this name (Ferraris map, 1771-1777: "Arbre Cruys Linde") is the intersection of several roads: the old road from Tongeren to Hoeselt, before the construction of the current Tongeren-Bilzen highway; the road from Werm to Schalkhoven; and the road to Sint-Huibrechts-Hern via Hardelingen. The place is now marked by a young lime tree with a recent chapel.

There is also the limestone boundary stone between Werm, Hoeselt and Hardelingen, with the coat of arms of a Prince-Bishop of Bavaria and the inscription: STA MRA/ STE LBT.
