We liked the Neustädtel/Schneeberg mining trail the best so far (and we know many such trails). The Neustädtel district was once the world's most important cobalt deposit and the place was more important than Schneeberg. The educational trail opens up both places, leads past a lot of well-preserved mining relics, is well marked and informatively signposted. We parked at the stamp mill, you definitely have to visit this technical monument.
