Goldenstädt is a street village and was documented as the first
Mentioned in 1285. The church building probably dates from this period.
It is a simple Gothic hall from the 13th century made of field stones here from the area and bricks in the monastery format. The high windows indicate its purpose as a fortified church. The church was first mentioned in the 14th century.

In the 16th century, Goldenstädt was the largest church village in the area and Mirow was a subsidiary church (1541).

The medieval character of the church has been fully preserved to this day, which is also supported by the consecration crosses found on the walls during restoration work.

From 1997 to September 2003 this church was restored. One found the old painting, old colors on the pulpit and altar, consecration crosses and decorations around the pulpit (curtain and handrail).

The wooden belfry with rare wooden shingles was renovated in 1993. In 2009, the dilapidated wooden shingles finally had to be replaced with roof tiles. Bell tower and church roof have been provided with beaver tail covering. The bell hanging in the belfry is from 1688.

The altar is from the 17th/18th century. with a baroque altarpiece that must have been very colorful at one time.

The pulpit is also from the 17th/18th century and was originally painted in a different color.

Now the pulpit and altar have been painted over in somber colors and old inscriptions.

The church has never had an organ.
