The Nepomu Chapel dates from 1737, and was erected to replace the chapel within the castle. The Carmelites celebrated weekly mass here, but from 1795 this was no longer allowed, and the chapel was neglected. In 1973 the chapel was restored and listed as a national monument. The Historical Association Nepomuk Boxmeer has been located here since 1986.
