Ship and tower were built until the middle of the 12th century. In the Gothic period, presumably in the first half of the 15th century, the choir and the apse were added. The northern porch was built in the second half of the 17th century as access to the newly constructed galleries. At the same time, the windows were significantly enlarged. From this time comes the door to the nave. Inside the church are still Romanesque window openings available.

The Protestant church I a Romanesque church. It was extensively renovated at the beginning of this millennium and has become a small piece of jewelery worth a visit. To visit the church you have to make an appointment in the competent parish office in Langenweddingen.
