the source of the Kapellenbach stream can be found in Eichstätt behind the Mariahilf chapel. Two karst springs flow into a basin walled with limestone. The spring discharge is about 150-250 liters per second. In the crystal-clear water, the Eichstätt fishing club breeds trout, which are fished annually on Maundy Thursday
