The Maarhof, a closed, four-wing courtyard complex, has a two-story manor house with a rich stucco facade and a hipped roof. In 1984/1985, after giving up agricultural use, the stables were converted into a residential complex with the roofs and dormers removed. The Maarhof formed the conclusion and highlight of the development of Frankfurter Strasse.
The people of Urbach lived almost exclusively from agriculture. The expansion of Frankfurter Strasse then permanently destroyed the old town centre. Only a few remnants of the old, rural-rural buildings have been preserved in the vicinity of the Church of St. Bartholomew from 1879/1880.

Good Maarhof
Gut Maarhof is a closed four-wing courtyard complex on Frankfurter Strasse in Porz-Urbach. The two-storey manor house has a stucco facade (1896), the former outbuildings are made of brick. The estate was first mentioned in a document in 1623.
In 1982 the city of Cologne listed the Maarhof as a monument. In the summer of 1985, the topping-out ceremony for the restored courtyard took place. In addition to the main building, 23 apartments surround the historic residential complex
