The Dwarsdijk, the Hoge Dijk, the Brouwersdijk, the Kerkdijk and the Molendijk were constructed to protect 's-Gravenmoer against high water levels during the time when the river De Donge had ebb and flow. In 1970 this disappeared due to the Delta works. The dikes now form wonderful walking and cycling paths to enjoy this historic landscape!
