In 1837, the architect Josef Schopen built a neo-Romanesque hall church with a semi-circular apse, which received a tower in 1848 and was converted into a three-aisled hall church in 1863-1866 according to the plans of the architect Heinrich Nagelschmidt. Upon entering, the visitor is greeted by an unexpectedly wide hall. Slender columns support the groined vault, the restrained modern painting by Hermann Gottfried (1975) and many historical pieces of furniture determine the impression of the room. The pulpit was built in 1864, and the confessionals and pews were built a little later.
